Curly extensions 2.0: Maintenance and Blending

Posted by Teonna Ealy on

So now that you have your bomb curly hair how do you blend it with your natural hair and how are you supposed to maintain it? I have the answers once again, I'm going to let you know how to sleep with your hair and how to keep it refresh and I will aso give you the tea on the ultimate blending method.

Heatless blending is the best way to go ,especially if the purpose of the install is a protective style. We want to avoid heat damage as much as possible.  we don't want  this to be us.

Party in the front, business in the back is not the look we want to go for. The method I like to use is a rod set. All you need is small rods and curling mousse. You mousse your hair and twist your hair around the small rod.  You can also watch @Ambre Renee on youtube to see how she does it.

Daily Maintenance

When you spend your own coin on anything you want to make sure it lasts as long as possible so to maintain the bomb curl pattern you fell in love what, and refresh your curls in the morning you should get a spray bottle and mix half water and conditioner. Make sure that it is a leave -in conditioner and that the spray bottle doesn't have to much conditioner because the nozzle can get clogged. You just spritz your hair and finger detangle it in the mornings.

Night Time Maintenance

At night you can do two things. Either pineapple your hair and wear a scarf and bonnet to keep curls in place, or you can take four sections and make four twists and put them at the top of your head and secure them with a bonnet. I should mention that before doing either method your hair should be moisturized well, so doing what you do in the mornings to refresh your hair before bed will moisturize your hair.

That is all I have for you , tell me any other blending methods you have or if you prefer blending with curling irons. Leave a comment to show me some love and let me know your feelings on any of the things I talked about .
